We are hoping everyone will join us this year for another exciting air show in Northern Michigan. The Traverse Area Model Pilots Society will make this a 2 - day event you won't want to miss.

Flying at the picturesque Empire Airport, there is plenty of room for you to showcase your acrobatic talents or just cruise around in the beautiful skies. We fly off a grass runway, but a paved runway is available. We welcome all types of aircraft and expect Jets, Giant Scale, Military, Helicopters and Trainers. If you bring it, chances are, you can fly it. We have had some great flights that wow the crowds with their acrobatics and other flights by some of the most beautiful military aircraft in Northern Michigan.

Whether or not you fly remote control aircraft, we would like to invite you to come join us. If you have never been to our show, we can promise you will be talking about it for weeks after. Who knows, you might even see a Witch in the western sky! Have you ever seen Snoopy fight the Red Baron from his doghouse? You can never tell what might be in the air at the 11th annual TRAMPS Air Show, held at the Empire Airport. The Empire Airport is located approximately 20 miles west of downtown Traverse City, Michigan.

Follow M-72 West toward Empire to Airport Road (County Road 677). Turn South and go about 1 1/2 miles to the airport.

Our air show would not be so successful without the support from all the surrounding clubs and all of our friends in the rc community. We have to say thank you to the township of empire for letting us use empire airport for our event. We have very dedicated members and supporting family members that without them there would be no way we could organize this event. Also we want to say thank you to the friendly spectators and all the others that make this show such a success.
